Renting the Whole House at Maison Soleil — Groups & Celebrations
6 min read · Updated 19 May 2026

Maison Soleil was designed as one house — not a hotel with anonymous corridors. When you reserve the whole property, you get four private suites, shared tropical gardens, and Andrew Gee as your on-site host: the artist who built the retreat by hand in 2009, with his gallery next door on Anse Soleil Road.
When whole-house rental makes sense
- Family reunions or multi-generational holidays — Vanilla upstairs, garden suites below.
- Two couples or friends who want privacy but shared outdoor space.
- Small retreats, creative workshops, or milestone celebrations.
- Longer stays where you want the rhythm of a home, not a resort.
- Groups who prefer self-catering and flexible mealtimes near Anse Soleil beach.

The four suites at a glance
Vanilla First Floor Suite
The crown of the house — light-filled upper retreat with sweeping views, generous living space, full kitchen and a private terrace. Best for the couple or family who wants height, horizon and the most spacious layout. Compare with our Garden Suites on the ground floor.
Cinnamon Garden Suites 1, 2 & 3
Three ground-floor retreats, each with a private walled garden, outdoor shower and self-catering kitchen. Compact, intimate and green — ideal for couples or linked for families. Garden Suite 3 is the most tucked-away; Suites 1 and 2 can connect when Andrew arranges it.

Privacy without losing the host
Whole-house guests still benefit from Andrew’s welcome: local restaurant tips, beach timing, art gallery visits, and flexible arrival. You are not renting an empty villa — you are staying in a lived-in artist’s house where hospitality is personal, not scripted. That is why most groups book direct rather than through a portal.

Location for groups
The property sits on Anse Soleil Road in Baie Lazare — the lush, wild south of Mahé. Anse Soleil beach is a short walk; Petite Anse, Marias Hot Rock Café and resort beaches are nearby — see our dining guide for evenings out. A rental car helps for exploring, but many guests love walking to the closest coves. See our airport transfer guide if you are coordinating group arrivals.
How to enquire
Send dates, number of guests, and whether you want the full house or a combination of suites (for example Vanilla plus two garden suites). Andrew replies personally — usually within a few hours on WhatsApp. Rates are confirmed before you commit, with clarity on which rooms and what access you will have.
Ready to plan a whole-house stay? Check availability on the website or message Andrew with your dates and party size. Not sure you need the full house? Read Garden vs Vanilla suites first.
